COUNTRY 105 AND CMT CANADA ARE ON THE SEARCH FOR THE GREATEST KARAOKE STAR IN CANADA!
Country 105 and CMT are looking for the greatest Karaoke Star in Canada, and CMT’s extensive search is coming to Calgary! This is a 1-day extravaganza! Starting at noon at Ranchman's Cookhouse and Dancehall, contestants can enter the audition and will sing their hearts out in a video booth and we’ll narrow the field down to 10 semi-finalists. In the evening, Paul McGuire will be joined by a team of celebrity judges including CMT host and country music artist, Beverley Mahood,, one additional surprise celebrity, and a Country 105 personality. This crack team will select 1 finalist from the 10 semi-finalists to compete for the coveted title of CMT’s Karaoke Star 2008 and the $10,000 grand prize! The finalist will be flown to Toronto to compete against 17 other hopefuls in a 2 hour live Karaoke face-off in front of a live studio audience on October 2, 2008.
