Baseball takes another hit--country style

Baseball player Roger Clemens has addressed the notion that he may have started an improper relationship with Mindy McCready when she was 15. Citing numerous anonymous sources, the New York Daily News reported last week that Clemens began his relationship with Mindy when she was 15. The tabloid claimed Clemens "carried on a decade-long affair with country star Mindy McCready, a romance that began when McCready was a 15-year-old aspiring singer performing in a karaoke bar and Clemens was a 28-year-old Red Sox ace and married father of two." In a statement released Sunday, Clemens said, "Nothing could be further from the truth. This relationship has been twisted and distorted far beyond reality. It is just one of many, many accusations that are utterly false." Mindy, however, told the Daily News that she "cannot refute anything in the story" about her relationship with Clemens.

Sara Evans is giving fans a look behind the scenes of her latest tour through a series of webcasts at her website, SaraEvans.com. In the first, get a look at her engagement ring and see how her kids enjoy life on the road with mom.

This is pretty cool.  It's great to see Sara with her kids.  I'm glad that after a very messy public divorce, they all seem to be getting on with their lives.  I love the fact that country artists love to share their lifestyle with the fans.

Reviewing the reviewer--Part two
Posted 4/17/2008 12:00:00 AM
What a great concert Wednesday night at the 'Dome with the triple bill of Jessie Farrell, Brooks and Dunn and Alan Jackson!  Y'know I've seen Alan many times and I've never seen the man put on a bad show, and his band is one of the best in the business.  Alan is a true country traditionalist and he delivers the music in spades.

Calgary Sun reviewer Theresa Tayler, who was not impressed with last month's Rascal Flatts show, was equally thrilled with the show.  Have a read of her review and tell me what you thought of the show.  I thought Theresa's comment about some of Alan's songs being cheesy shows that she's not quite getting country music yet, but she is getting better.
