What Do You Think?
Posted 3/5/2010 3:00:00 PM
There's a new act in the U.S. called Jaron & The Long Road To Love and their debut single is called Pray For You. This song has been creeping up the chart and is poised to jump in to the top 40. Click on this link to watch the video. What do you think? The lyrics are certainly clever, but does the message trouble you? Or does it make you chuckle? A lot of stations in the States are playing this song and the reaction is mostly positive, but there have been some complaints. Watch the vid and let me know what you think?

It Feels Good, Eh?
Posted 3/1/2010 9:00:00 AM
Whatta game!! Whatta weekend!! What an Olympics!!
It seemed like a tale of two Olympics, didn't it? The first week was filled with weather woes, transportation snarls and grumbly foreign journalists. Then as soon as the COC threw in the towel on the "Own The Podium" program, something magical happened. Not only did the medals start rolling in but the special stories began to surface. Our athletes did us so proud and a nation pulled together. My "Go Canada" car flag broke off on the Deerfoot on the weekend, and as I put a new Maple Leaf on my car at Safeway, I had scores of people giving me high fives and thumbs up!
It was a special two weeks and Vancouver put on one heck of a show! It feels incredible to be from Cadad-eh?

An Olympic Perspective
Posted 2/17/2010 8:00:00 AM
I've cross referenced my daughter's blog before--and I'm going to do it again.
Like many Canadian families, we have become obsessed with tracking Olympic coverage. Sometimes we become too obsessed. I was particularly touched when I read my daughter's blog late last night. Click here for her insights.
I'm going to get her start writing my blogs, she's certainly a better writer than her father.
