Tim McGraw's new video for The Highway Don't Care features appearences from Keith Urban and Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw demonstrates his fitness level and acting ability, but above all else, it includes a powerful message about distracted driving. Tim says he doesn’t mind that the video is kind of preachy about not texting and driving, especially since his oldest daughter just got her drivers license.

Not so "social" media...

I am trying to figure out the point of social media after seeing this Twitter interaction between a girl in Texas and Darius Rucker. She accuses him directly of not being "Country enough" and he responds that he is country enough for the Grand Ol Opry. It kind of goes downhill from there, but it made me wonder - is the purpose of social media to inform and share or is it a tool for "haters" who feel that they aren't being heard any other way. Like so many things, the benefits of the tool are often overshadowed by it's negative uses.
What do you think? Are people getting out of hand with social media?
