Stampede's over...now what?

Well, the 100th Calgary Stampede is under your belt...and all those pancake breakfasts and "liquid calories" have created the Stampede Hangover...The Stampede Hangover is when your belly now hangs over your belt! So many Stampede goers are waking up today saying, "ok, I've got to get healthy". I know because that was me for so many years until I got into running. I know, I know..."the only time you'll see me running is if I'm being chased or I'm late for the C-Train! I also used to say that. The obvious reason to run to get into shape is obvious, it's good for pretty much every function in your body. The side benefit to running, esspecially since I started with Team in Training, is meeting amazing people who help you to achieve amazing things. www.teamintraining.ca/ab

I want to say, thank you to Team In Training! Thank you for putting together some of the coolest events the running community has ever seen. I never thought I woulod be running a half marathon, let alone running it through the streets of Montreal! But thanks to Team In Training, that's what I'll be doing September 23rd. It wasn't that long ago that going on a vaction involved staying up late partying and waking up the next morning...late morning, with a throbbing head. As I get older my vacations have changed for the better. I now look forward to getting up early putting on my running gear and exploring the area with a nice crisp run in the morning, it's better than a cup of coffee. My last trip I was running the Las Vegas ...
