My name is Sandy, and I remember when Country 105 came to the Driftwood
Inn in Airdrie in 1984 for the Grand Opening of the Horeshoe Pub, (there was a
fire in the bar in December '83, and they closed down for repairs, hence the
grand opening) . Robin Adair and Charlie West came out for the festivities.
My
family and I have watched and listened to Robin grow into a remarkable radio
personality over the past 25 years. Through the years she has co-hosted with
Charlie West, Ray Grover, and Doug and Dan ( whom I believe are great together),
but what stands out in my mind is that after 25 years she's still with you.
Way
to go Robin. Hers to another 25.

'Hi Country 105
I just want to congratulate you on 25 great years! I
have been listening to you since probably day 2. I heard some people at
work talking about this great new FM country station and decided to
check it out. You have been a huge part of my life ever since.
Although
your on air personalities have changed over the years the quality and
humor remains. I have grown to depend on your news, weather, and
especially traffic reports. Keep up the great work and keep me going
for the next 25 years!
Marlene'

Thanks for writing in Richard!
"This short story goes
back 25 years. When i was in the army, I got stationed to Calgary. My
warrent officer at the time was a scruffy guy, But he knew what he
wanted to listen to. He said their was two kinds of music, country and
western.
Thats all the music he listened to. When we
were out on exercise he would have the radio tuned into a country
station. When we were back at the base i would put on the country
station also its a easy listening station.
I can here and make out all the words to the songs.
I've been listening to it since close to the day you got on the air (since1982). well take care for now."
