Christmas shopping can easily become the worst part of the entire holiday season! If you’re struggling to keep your sanity while charging through the malls, then here are a few tips that might just help.
Something that I always do before heading out to the mall is look online. I’m not saying you should find one specific thing and then hunt it down. But looking ahead and getting a few ideas will help you be way more efficient.
2. Make a list (and check it twice)
Once you pre-plan, create an actual list of all the places you are going to go and what time you want to be done at. Then actually stick to it, don’t go into any unnecessary stores or make pointless stops. Get in and then get out.
3. Get it done in one day
Because of time and stress this is a chore that can usually get dragged out. Instead of making the stress last three different trips, try to clear and entire afternoon just for this, that way you only waste one day instead of one week.
4. Bring cash not debit or credit cards
Sticking to a budget is something that can seem impossible during the holiday seasons. However I have found that if I bring only cash and leave all other sources of money at home then I am forced to stick to a budget.
5. Avoid the weekends
This one may seem obvious, but by going on a weekday afternoon you can save yourself so much stress. So go to work early and take a long lunch because there is no good reason that you should be at the mall on a Saturday.
