Chris Janson just released the song “Drunk Girl” and it’s not what you think it might be.
Written from a father’s perspective, the song talks about taking care of those who may be in a vulnerable position. It makes me love Chris so much. With 4 children of his own, both sons and daughters, it speaks to how a man should treat and woman and how a woman should expect to be treated.
“Take a drunk girl home,
Let her sleep all alone,
Leave her keys on the counter your number by the phone”

There have been many empowering songs about treating others with respect over the years but with the tidal wave of confessions, allegations, accusations that have surfaced in the past few months, songs like this and Keith Urban’s “Female” seem to take on a more timely meaning.
In a perfect world messages like this shouldn’t need to be said, but if you even skim the surface of the #MeToo campaign, clearly, they do.
