Well, the game may not have played out exactly as we wanted it to, but I don’t know how much more we could have asked for from the halftime show. The 105th Grey Cup game took place in Ottawa yesterday and Shania Twain was there in all her sequined, Canadian, diva-esque glory. I loved it.
Her entrance to the show could NOT have been any more Canadian, as she was pulled out on the field in a dog sled. The only thing that could’ve amped up the Canadiana, even more, would be a plaid sequin jumpsuit. I’ve seen a few snarky comments about that outfit, and I’d just like to say that if I looked like that in a skintight suit, I would wear one every day of my life.
Shania kicked things off with “That Don’t Impress Me Much”, then went into “Life’s About to Get Good” and capped things off with “Man, I Feel Like a Woman”. She sounded great, had lots of energy and seemed to get the crowd pumped up!
She spoke with our friends at ET Canada prior to the show.
It was a tough loss for the Stampeders, as they lead for most of the game, but in the end, the Argos won out 27-24.
