Country Thunder is quickly becoming one of the BEST weekends of the year, and these past few days were no exception. From openers to headliners, Brad Paisley, Thomas Rhett and Blake Shelton, there were nothing but rave reviews for the performers.
A HUGE shout out as well, to the Calgary Police Service members that worked up at Prairie Winds Park this past weekend for the festival as well. They were in great spirits, and such a pleasant presence to have on the grounds.
One attendee, Nicole Hull, was able to capture this special moment when one CPS member got right into the music and took a turn around the dance floor (field).
Shannon McDonough is the officer seen dancing in the video above, and she said she hadn’t met the man before, but the crowd loved their dancing and were cheering them on. Of Country Thunder in general, she had this to say, “Overall the weekend was fantastic. I worked it last year as well and enjoyed it so much I begged my boss to allow me to work it again!! Country fans are known for being incredible!”.
Drew Ostenberg was the man that asked Shannon to dance, and said: “The whole crowd outside the VIP loved it and was cheering for us, we had to modify some dance moves because of her service belt, and learning to dance with each other.”
We discovered this video a little bit later, but another officer is showing off some moves!
