The City of Calgary made some big announcements yesterday in regards to Canada Day celebrations.

Canada Day Events across Calgary:
Fort Calgary: 9am – 5pm
Family friendly fun all day long, including: a free pancake breakfast, live music and entertainment, children’s crafts and petting zoo, food trucks, the Enmax Living Flag, a chance to dress-up like a Mountie, and the exhibition of the Treaty 7 document.
Confederation Park: 9am – 1pm
Enjoy a free pancake breakfast, horse-drawn wagon rides, main stage musical entertainment, a new natural play space and the opening of a 1967 time capsule. There will be lots of family friendly activities to enjoy.
Calgary’s Central Library: 10am – 5pm
The Calgary Public Library invites everyone to drop by the Central Library for family-friendly activities, including: campfire stories and songs (English, French, Indigenous); 150 acts of reconciliation; selfie station; arts and craft activities including colouring stations, storywall, and animal tracks adventure; Lego construction pit; giant chess tournament.
Olympic Plaza: 10am – 5pm
Pledge your allegiance to Canada at the CIBC Canadian Oath, break some moves to Beatbox or simply sit back and enjoy watching our Chinook Country line dancers strut their stuff. Olympic Plaza will have several activities and performances during the day.
China Town: 10am – 6pm
Enjoy cultural performances, family friendly activities or visit our stores and indulge your taste buds with culinary delights from Asia.
Indigenous Showcase and Powwow: 10am – 5pm
Children can learn Metis dance steps and try unique arts and crafts while everyone enjoys the traditional Powwow and cultural programs in tipis and Metis trapper tents.
Riverfront Avenue: 10am – 11:30
Music performances, food vendors and fireworks! Riverfront Avenue will have a host of activities and entertainment throughout the day, wrapping up with a headlining performance from Tegan and Sara, and a 30 minute fireworks display.
