The Heritage classic happened yesterday in Winnipeg with the Oilers downing the Jets 3-0. The outdoor game was attended by over 30,00 people, Brett Kissel being one of them.
Brett had the chance to perform the national along with Doc Walker and even snuck in a picture with The Great One on Saturday at the Heritage Classic Alumni game.
Speaking about the event, Brett said “This NHL spectacle is much more than just two teams competing for two points. This game represents the city of Winnipeg. This game represents our country coming together. This game represents our proud Canadian Heritage, and our proud “Prairie Roots”. This game is much more than just a game – because the Oilers to Alberta and the Jets to Manitoba are bright symbols of passion and pride. And, to sing the anthem, with my Manitoba buddies: Doc Walker today, is the purest form of a “Prairie Collaboration”.”
