The non-profit organization Homefront is sending a strong message this week.
Using data points from its work, HomeFront has created a heat map to visually represent where domestic violence occurs in Calgary. Through this map, it can been seen that there are no boundaries to this issue; domestic violence impacts every single quadrant of our city.
When you see the map, you realize that there is no neighbourhood in Calgary that isn’t affected by domestic violence.
HomeFront is launching a fundraising campaign called, “Cool It, Calgary!” which is aimed at encouraging Calgarians to play a role in reducing the heat of domestic violence in our city.
HomeFront is asking that Calgarians step up and show their support to help cool down this extremely widespread and prevalent issue facing our community. Visit www.homefrontcalgary.com for more information.
