It’s National Nursing Week in Canada – May 11th to 17th. There’s no doubt in my mind that nursing must be one of the toughest, but most rewarding jobs. Quite frankly, I’m not even sure a week is long enough to recognize them for all they do. Some say it’s more than a job, it’s a calling. That seems to be the case for this nurse -” SeeSee” Rigney, an operating room nurse at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA, who, at the age of 90, is still nursing. She began working in 1946 and still works two days a week. Pretty remarkable!
Here’s a video of SeeSee’s co-workers throwing her a 90th birthday bash last week at the hospital. And to the many nurses across Canada and the US and around the world – thanks for what you do!
