GPS can be a wonderful thing. It’s helped many a driver find their way across a city or even a country. However we have heard of incidents where GPS directs somebody into the middle of nowhere or worse a lake, or in this case off a bridge in East Chicago that had been partially demolished and closed since 1999. The couple were reportedly driving in East Chicago, Indiana, when the man drove straight off the end of the ramp. Despite the fact that numerous barricades and signs reading “Road Closed” blocked the bridge, the man reportedly drove right around them — and investigators think it’s because he was dutifully following GPS.
